The epic battle between the Oak and Holly kings and the resulting changing of the seasons is the inspiration behind this collection. The kings are represented as great deer with long antlers battling each other for control of the forest. The result is believed to be the changing of the seasons. The Holly king rules the cooler months, the Oak the warmer months.
Here the Holly king is represented with a white and ghostly winter antler and a holly spring. Hand embroidered on natural toned linen fabric and set in a wooden stained coffin.
