Representing the legend of Saint Patrick and the banishing of the snakes of Ireland. The reptiles traditionally represent the emerald isles pagan past. This hand embroidered and beaded piece represent these pagan stories and folklore that still exist to this day despite the church. A beaded snake is hidden amongst hand embroidered shamrocks on charcoal grey linen fabric. Vintage moon cabochon is scratched and scuffed, please examine the images closely. Set in a wooden painted and distressed coffin.
