From baseball player to evangelist preacher, Billy Sunday was known for his "passionate" sermons. This antique paperweight was most likely a fund raising souvenir from one of his sermons. The aged sepia toned and metallic image includes photos of Billy, his choir leader and a shot of outdoor church pews. On one side there are written statements as to how many people attended, and how much money was raised. Included are the dates of this particular sermon- Apr 27 to June 4, '06 (1906).
Set in glass, the photo is quite faded with a metallic sheen. It is stained and there are metallic "burns."
