Inspired by a series of christian symbolic emblem wood engravings common in the 17th century. The soul cannot exist without both light and darkness, life and death and the eternal battle between the two. Hand embroidered on natural toned canvas fabric. Set in a wooden stained and distressed coffin. Moon cabochons are scratched, beads and vintage and may also show signs of wear due to age. Sawtooth hanger in back for hanging.
