A cosmic burial. Composed of several elements, this piece explores decay and the afterlife. This piece is set in a wooden stained and distressed frame. A floral border is hand carved from linoleum and printed onto canvas fabric. The florals are then accented with gold paint and hand sewn beads. Framing the skeleton is a vintage brass tissue box lid. The metal frame is very tarnished, stained and worn due to age. In the center of it all a hand embroidered skeleton floating amongst hand beaded stars. A vintage moon cabochon rests at its feet. The cabochon is vintage, scratched and stained.
