Inspired by the bonfires of Walpurgis Night, Mayday and Beltane. Fires burn in celebration of the continual cycle of the earth. This spider and ouroboros are inspired by the flames and the life cycle of the growing season. Hand embroidered and beaded on charcoal linen and set in a wooden painted and distressed embroidery hoop. The spiders body is composed of a carnelian cabochon. Instead of flames a series of orange leaves and branches cradle a vintage crescent cabochon. This cabochon is vintage, worn and scratched. Please refer to images for item condition.
Set in a 7.25" round embroidery hoop.
